150th Anniversary

A church takes root
Immanuel Lutheran Church began December 19, 1871, when a group of nine Norwegian immigrants to Minnesota gathered together for communion with a traveling Norwegian pastor, Osten Hanson. These Norwegian Lutherans were the founding members of Immanuel Lutheran Church.
One hundred fifty years later, Immanuel remains a strong and vital congregation.
“God with Us,” the meaning of “Immanuel,” is the theme of our year-long celebration. Join us in marking this historic year!
