“Let every instrument be tuned for praise; let all rejoice who have a voice to raise.”  — ELW Hymn #851

Immanuel has a rich tradition of glorifying God through music. This happens in the pews each Sunday when our congregation joins together in song. It happens from the balcony when our choirs sing. God is glorified when an instrumentalist, bell choir, flute choir or brass ensemble plays. All are warmly welcomed into one of the following Immanuel choirs:

Adult Choirs

In-person choirs are on pause due to COVID-19

Jubilate Ringers

This bell choir for high schoolers and adults prepares handbell anthems as well as occasional accompaniments for hymns and psalms. The Jubilate Ringers play in worship once a month.  Wednesdays, 6:45-7:45 p.m.

The adult choir leads worship on most Sundays from September to May as well as festival services. The choir learns a wide variety of choral repertoire of many different genres and hymns and liturgy as needed to lead worship. Rehearsals: Wednesdays, 7:45-9 p.m.

(grade 9 and up) All you brass players, dust off your horns! The Immanuel Brass usually plays four times a year and is very low-key. Come blast away! Call or email to get your name on the list.

Flute Choir

(grade 9 and up) Calling all flutists! Our Flute Choir meets occasionally to provide music in worship 3-4 times throughout the year. Call or email to get your name on the list.

O come, let us sing to the Lord; let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation! —  Psalm 95:1-2

Youth and Children's Choirs

This choir is for children in 2nd-6th grades. Games, singing, vocal technique, and music theory are all part of our time together. We focus on learning the Lutheran liturgy and hymns. Wednesdays, 4:30-5 pm on Zoom. Contact Chris Cherwien for the link.

The following choirs are on pause due to COVID-19:

Middle C Choir

This choir is for youth in 7th-12th grades. Our teens continue their musical growth and love making music together in the Middle C’s. We lead the congregation in worship once a month and prepare a larger work in the mid-winter. This choir also enjoys ringing handbells occasionally. Wednesdays, 5:30-6:15 p.m.

This choir is for children in kindergarten & 1st grade and is a part of the Sunday school hour each Sunday.  The children explore their emerging singing voices through games and other activities. The choir sings in worship occasionally at the 10:30 a.m. service. Sundays, 9:35-9:50 a.m.

Hosanna Singers (Preschool Choir)

This choir of our little ones meets during the Sunday School hour at 9:15 a.m. Rhythm, pitch matching, and singing songs they love are a part of this beginning choir. The congregation is delighted when they sing in worship four times a year.
