3 Christmas giving opportunities

Christian’s Toy Box 2020: In memory of Christian Osen

The Immanuel community has generously offered a dose of Christmas cheer to children in the medical system of Children’s Hospitals and Clinics since 2001, and we don’t need to stop because of the pandemic.

Please consider 3 options:

  • Deliver a new, unwrapped toy or gift for a child aged 0-18 directly to the Osens’ front porch, 1545 Goodrich Ave., St. Paul. Place your donation contact-free in the toy box by Sunday, December 13.
  • Give a monetary donation online (website accessible year-round).
  • Write a check payable to “MN Children’s Hospitals & Clinics” with Christian’s Toy Box in the memo line, and mail or deliver to the Osens by Sunday, December 13. For contact-free drop off, put the check in the toy box on the Osens’ porch and call 651-690-0186 to alert them.

Christmas gifts for Wilder preschool

Immanuel will continue our tradition of providing Christmas gifts to the families at the Wilder Child Development Center.

Immanuel requests input from the families to make our Christmas baskets personalized. Each family submits ideas for themes or items they would particularly like or need this season. Usually, these ideas get hung on a bulletin board at the church for our families to select.

You can sign up for a family online, then do your shopping (online or in person) and drop the gifts off at the church building. (There will be an option to have your gifts picked up as well.)

Safe House holiday meals

Due to the support of our congregation, we will once again be providing Thanksgiving and Christmas meals for Safe House. If you would like to contribute for the Christmas meal, please send a check to the church with “Safe House – Christmas Dinner” on the memo line. If you have any questions, contact Kim Thompson. Thank you to Kim for organizing this effort.
