Changes at Immanuel in response to the COVID-19 virus

Dear Friends in Christ,

It has been quite a week in our world. — Things have been changing daily, and there are still many unknowns.  The one thing of which we can be certain is that God is present with us and has the power to give us new life.

After conversations with our Bishop and Church Council President, and for the sake of our members and neighbors, I’ve decided to cancel the liturgy and Sunday school for the foreseeable future.

I remind our elders that they should not be out in these days.  Also anyone who feels ill (and their household) should stay at home.   We will continue to reassess our decision concerning future Sunday gatherings.

There will be no Wednesday evening activities, including Lent worship until further notice.

We will be offering opportunities to be together digitally including worship in the near future.  Check our Facebook page and website for updates.  News and Notes will continue to be published each Sunday morning.

Please remain in community through phone calls, emails or social media.  Call others to make sure they hear about this change and to check on their well being.  We are community together, and will remain so, even if we cannot gather together.

Blessings to all of you in this difficult season.  You are in my prayers, and I request that you keep me in yours.

A sister in Christ,
Pastor Cindy
