Faith-Grounding Workshop

Nov. 3, 11:45am-12:45pm, East Lounge

It is too light a thing, you servants of God, that you should spend your strength doing your duty when what you have been called to do is to ignite, enflame, combust, burn, shine with the glory of the God who has chosen you, and given you to the world, bright lights to the end of the earth.   — Barbara Brown Taylor

Why do the people of Immanuel feed the hungry, care for the homeless, work for the common good in St Paul?  Why do we serve in worship, teach our children, give an offering, care for our building?   Is it because we are nice people?  Because we’re supposed to?  Or is there something greater at work here?  On Sunday, Nov. 3, the Social Action team is sponsoring a workshop for members of all Immanuel’s teams to learn how to communicate why we do what we do.  The Faith Grounding Workshop will be held after church in the East Lounge, 11:45-12:45 with lunch included.  If you have questions, contact Christine Danielson or Pastor Cindy.
