Online form has many requests left
Immanuel continues our tradition of preparing holiday gifts for families at the Wilder Child Development Center. There are a few family requests still on the bulletin board at the church and additional requests at our online signup. Purchase items from your family’s wish list — we suggest a limit of $75 — and wrap your gift (we often call them gift baskets, but no basket is needed). Gifts should be returned to Immanuel no later than Sunday, Dec. 12. If you have questions or need your gift picked up, contact Kelley Wells (contact info in the directory).
Wilder CDC is a childcare center and preschool located in St. Paul’s Frogtown neighborhood. The program, which has received the highest Parent Aware rating for childcare, focuses on developing children’s academic, social, and emotional skills to prepare them for kindergarten and beyond. Most Wilder families receive financial assistance, and many face continual income and job pressures.
A key aspect of Wilder’s approach to childcare is family involvement, both in and out of the classroom. They offer classes on various parenting topics, help families navigate community resources, and host monthly family fun nights. Overall, they strive to meet the unique needs, abilities, interests, and cultures of the children and families at the center.
