Sunday School News: March 2019

  • Please do not send children to Sunday school with treats from coffee hour. We are seeing too many crumbs and other mess left behind.
  • We will collect offering this spring semester to buy iron roof sheets for a school in Tanzania. If the kids can raise $63 more this spring, we’ll have an ice cream party on the last day of Sunday school!

Fed & Forgiven Communion Instruction

March, 9:30-10:15 am (after Sunday school opening)

The time to start receiving communion is at the discretion of the parents. Fed and Forgiven communion classes are taught every year, for all ages, recognizing that we are all growing in faith and understanding. Because of the series on the Bible that goes through March 3, we will move previously scheduled classes from February into March.

Grades 4&5: March 10 & 17, in their classroom

Grades K&1: March 10 & 17, lower commons; parents should attend with their children

PreK: March 17 & 24, West Lounge; parents should attend with their children

Sunday School Themes

March 10-May 12: We will follow the Gospel readings that are heard in worship.

All are invited to participate in Prayer Around the Cross on Wednesdays at 6:45 pm in the sanctuary. There will be child-friendly activities.

We are focusing on hunger this season, so if your family is doing something to help the hungry (bringing extra food for the food shelf, collecting money to donate, etc.), we’d love to hear about it at Sunday school opening. More ideas can be found on the food shelf collection container in the narthex.
