Take the opportunity to begin and end your day in prayer, remaining attentive to God’s gifts in your life.

MORNING:
Lord God, you have woken me from sleep;
the night is gone, the day is here.
Enable me to put on the Lord Jesus Christ
and help me to live honorably this day,
to the glory of your holy name. Amen.EVENING:
God, my Savior, you are even nearer now
than when I first learned to trust in you.
Help me to lay aside the burdens of the day
and rest in the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ,
my strength and my salvation. Amen

NO ADULT FORUM TODAY
The Adult Forums on Dec 8th, 15th, and the 22nd will be an Advent Intergenerational Study held in the Fellowship Hall from 9:15 – 10:15 am.  As Advent prepares us to welcome Christ, so also the saints and prophets of the Old Testament prepared the way. Come learn the tradition of the Jesse Tree, – a way of remembering and preparing, using the Old Testament stories.  Then move into the Christmas story according to the Gospel of Matthew.  (Here’s a hint.  There is no census, trip to Bethlehem, or shepherd visitation – and Mary has no lines!)
