News and Notes for January 10, 2021

Prepare for the meal

We will celebrate Holy Communion during the worship service this Sunday (1/10). For information on how to prepare, click HERE.

Submit annual reports

All team leaders should e-mail their 2020 annual report by today (1/10) to Deanna. We are suggesting a half-page limit on text and encourage you to include photos, if you have them. Thank you to all who’ve already submitted their reports.

Get into worship in different ways

If you’re having trouble getting into the Sunday worship service from the website, you can find the Zoom link in the green box on the front page of every News & Notes.

Learn about discovery doctrine

In 1493 the pope declared that all land not inhabited by Christians was available to be claimed by Christian rulers. This is known as the doctrine of discovery. How does the church respond to this history today? Join the discussion hosted by the Joint Church Anti-Racism Team on Tuesday (1/12) at 7-8 pm via Zoom. Join the meeting HERE.

Read ‘A Wind in the Door’

The 5/6 Book Club will take up the second book in the “Wrinkle in Time” series, starting Tuesday (1/12) at 7 pm. New members welcome! Contact Emily for the link.

Start singing again with Choristers

Choristers resume sessions Wednesday (1/13) at 4:30 pm. Children can still join this fun musical group; contact Ms. Chris for more info.

Talk about baptism with Miss Emily

Join Miss Emily for supper and a story at our monthly family faith gathering on Thursday (1/14). This month we’ll try two time options: 6:15–6:30 pm for our preK friends and 6:30–7:15 pm for our elementary-aged kids … or pick the one that best fits your schedule. Click HERE to join either gathering.
