Learn about Common Hope mission

Immanuel partners with Common Hope to help students and families in Guatemala have the resources they need for better lives. This Sunday’s (11/15) postlude slideshow highlights this organization’s important work and how we can support it. For more details, watch their Salute to Hope video.

Watch, discuss ‘Dakota Exile’

This Sunday (11/15), join the Joint Church Anti-Racism Team at 4 pm for an online watch party of “Dakota Exile.” This award-winning PBS documentary tells Dakota history through the words of Dakota elders and tribal historians. After watching the hour-long film, we will join in discussion. Sign up HERE.

Delve into ‘A Wrinkle in Time’

Fifth- and 6th-graders (and friends!) are invited to discuss this classic by Madeline L’Engle this Wednesday (11/18) at 7 pm on Zoom. If you need a copy of the book, contact Emily King—we’ll look just at the first few chapters.

Reminder: Create Thanks submission

Third- and fourth-graders: Your parents should’ve gotten an email inviting you to send in something creative for our Giving Thanks to God slideshow. The deadline is Friday (11/20). Have your parents call/text/email Emily if you or they have questions.

Provide an Advent devotion

Our Advent theme is “In Light and Darkness,” and we are creating a daily devotional to explore the gifts and miracles that come even in the darkest days. If you would like to help, go HERE to choose a date and scripture. Submissions can music, poetry, art, written reflection, etc. Maximum wordcount is 250 words. Questions? Contact Pastor Cindy.
