During the Pathway to the Future Capital Campaign, you are invited to consider yourself a member of the Prayer Team. Find a time of the day to pause and say this prayer. Saying the same prayer as individuals at our own best time of the day, they will lift up as one. If you forget a day or two, others will remember. Collectively our prayers will be persistent and bold. Starting with “an attitude of gratitude” and acknowledgement of abundance, this week before you pray, take a moment to write down 5 blessings you have seen at Immanuel.

Abundant God,
You made us in your image and breathed into us a spirit of generosity
that is both gift and response.
Move us to give as we have received:
faithfully,
boldly,
and unexpectedly.
Guide and nurture us along the pathway to the future
and extend our generosity in new directions
through ministries that reflect your unfailing grace.
In the name of the Three in whom we are One,
Amen

ADULT FORUM
March 10th & 17th – When Personal and Community Worlds are Shaken: Loss, Grief, and Honest Hope
Ted Bowman, educator, author and consultant who specializes in change and transition

In this Lenten time, participants will be invited to explore ways to honor losses AND keep hope alive after disruptive changes…whether those losses are personal or about the state of the world. At times of ambiguity and loss, being part of a supportive community aids in personal and community resiliency and well-being.

In these two sessions, words and actions useful for grieving people, useful when supporting others, and useful in acts of advocacy will be presented and discussed.
