Take the opportunity to begin and end your day in prayer, remaining attentive to God’s gifts in your life.

MORNING:
We praise and worship you, O  God.
From the heights of the heavens
you look down upon the earth
to left up the poor and needy.
Help us to glorify your name this day,
from the rising of the sun to its setting;
through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

EVENING:
We belong to you, O God;
we are yours alone.
Keep us faithful as you are faithful –
in all things, great and small –
so that when this world passes away
we may be welcomed into an eternal home;
through Jesus Christ our Savior. Amen

2019 FALL STEWARDSHIP DRIVE
October marks the beginning of our annual drive to support the ongoing ministry of Immanuel. This year you are once again invited to a Stewardship Social at an Immanuel member’s home to learn about what is happening at Immanuel, dream a bit about the future, and get to know some people you only see on a Sunday morning.  Socials will last one hour, and various light refreshments will be served.  Please plan to join other Immanuel members and friends at a social this year.  You can sign up for a social at the Welcome desk in the Gathering Space, online at ilcsp.org/registration, or by contacting the Church Administrator, Deanna Hesse, at 651-699-5560 or by e-mail at dhesse@ilcsp.org.

IMMANUEL’S 150TH ANNIVERSARY
Immanuel’s 150th Anniversary is coming up in a bit more than a year. Plans are forming for a special worship service, a banquet, a commemorative book, displays, and special events throughout the year of 2021. You can help! You may have just the right thing! Do you have:

  • Old Photos or videos of Immanuel?
  • Artifacts that relate to Immanuel’s history?
  • Stories about Immanuel?
  • The names of sons and daughters of Immanuel who went into the ministry?
  • Papers relating to the running of the church or events that took place?
  • Have members of your family been members of Immanuel for 3 generations or more?

If you would like to share any of these things or schedule an interview to share stories, please contact: Ann Derr at 651-335-3233 or annderr@gmail.com

ILCW BAKE SALE

Bake Sale Volunteers needed – Many hands make light work!
I hope you can help support the annual ILCW Bake Sale again this year. Volunteers are needed to make Scandinavian cookies (rosettes, krumkake and spritz) and to work at the Bake Sale during the Lutefisk Dinner. Dates and times are listed below.  No experience necessary. Grab a friend and join in the fun!

Cookie Making, Sunday, November 17th   Noon – 4:00 p.m.Image of fried rosettes
Lunch provided.  To make the baking go a little faster, mix up a batch of cookie dough and bring it with you to church. We can store the dough in the kitchen while you attend church and then start in after a quick bite to eat. You don’t have to bring dough, we’ll have plenty of ingredients to mix some up and we’ve got plenty to do. Everyone is welcome.

Bake Sale, Friday, November 22nd   3:00 – 7:00 p.m.
If these times don’t fit your schedule, you can still help by baking items in your home and donating them to sale. Donate a cake, a pie and/or a few batches cookies.
