News & Notes for February 14

Prepare for the meal

We will celebrate Holy Communion during the worship service this Sunday (2/14). For information on how to prepare, click HERE.

Color your own Alleluia “banner”

This year the practice of bidding “Farewell to Alleluia” is coming to your home! Thanks to Chillon Leach, you can color an “Alleluia” (or make your own) and hide it this Sunday (2/14) during the service. We won’t be saying “Alleluia” again until Easter, so let’s give it a festive sendoff!

Worship with us Ash Wednesday

This Wednesday (2/17) is the official start to the season of Lent: Ash Wednesday. Join us at 7 pm HERE as AGAIN & AGAIN God invites us in. You will receive in the mail a package of ashes to use during our worship or with the enclosed reading and prayer anytime during the day.

Sign up for devotions

We have 2 resources for creating a personal Lenten practice: 1) A Daily Word or Phrase emailed, texted, or printed on cards. 2) A Devotional Booklet with four reflections each week for digital download or printing. Click HERE to request either or both.

Try this week’s soup recipe

Keep the Wednesday soup supper tradition going at home with Rhonda Tjaden’s Chicken Tortilla Soup. Click HERE for this recipe and Steve Mundt’s Curried Carrot Soup. If you have a recipe you’d like considered, e-mail them to Kim Thompson.
