News & Notes for September 19, 2021
GET READY: IT’S FLEA MARKET WEEK!
- Have sale donations? Take advantage of the “curbside” dropoff this Sunday (9/19) at 10:30 am–1 pm in the parking lot. For all donation times and a list of what we won’t accept, click HERE. Donation drop-offs end Wednesday at 2 pm.
- Volunteer! We need people starting Sunday to sort, price, pack up and pick up items for the sale. Thursday we transition outside, setting up canopies and organizing product. Work the sale Friday and Saturday. Cleanup Saturday starts at 1 pm; drivers, loaders and packers needed.
- Shop Friday, 9/24, (10 am–7 pm) and Saturday ($5 bag sale 9 am–1 pm). Purchase concessions throughout both sale days and enjoy music 5–7 pm Friday. The Cake Walk returns, with pies and more awarded between 5:30 and 6 pm. Check ilcsp.org for updates if there is severe weather.
- All proceeds will be divided among Lutheran Social Services, Interfaith Action and ISAIAH. If you prefer a direct gift to this fundraiser, you can donate online, fee-free, HERE.
Come to Youth night
High-school students, join us this Sunday (9/19) at 7 pm on the Goodrich-side lawn (in the Youth Room if it rains). It will be so good to spend time catching up in person!
Hold a hose, help seeds grow
We need to water our boulevard grass seed a few more days. If you want to help, contact Ron Struss.
Postponed: Sunday a.m. activities
Children and youth Sunday school and adult faith formation activities will begin on October 3. This delayed start allows more time after school starts to develop a safe and meaningful plan.
